Dear Church family:
The end of June marks the tenth anniversary of serving as your Pastor.
I have often heard that the first year in a Pastor church relationship is the honeymoon. But serving as your Pastor I still continue to be filled with joy and excitement as we do Kingdom Work together, and see lives changed. So even after this many years the honey- moon continues. I often tell people that every Pastor should have the joy of serving a church with a heart and cooperative Spirit like Southside. Through the years you have been willing to change, try new things, and give sacrificially to the church, in order to see lives changed. We are reminded that we change not for change sake but for those who have yet to connect to Christ and His church. Time and again, you have been willing to follow the Lord’s leading, doing whatever you could to share God’s love with others.
During the month of July, we have many opportunities to help reach others for Christ, and see His church grow. First is our worship service, on July 1, as we come together to celebrate the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
Then on July 7, we will gather for our annual cookout for the residents of Hill’s Nursing home. We still need volunteers for our VBS School, which will be held July 8-12 from 6:30-8:30 each night. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a spiritual impact upon the lives of children.
We will also feed the World Changers, as they come to the community to help share the love of Christ in both word and deed. Then, we have the regular opportunities to reach others for Christ in weekly worship services, Sunday School, Prayer meetings, Team Kids and Manna Ministry each Wednesday.
Working together, we can see lives changed and the church moving forward.
Thank you for your faithfulness and service in His church, and as always I count it a joy to serve as your Pastor.
