Dear Church Family,
I hope that each of you had a Merry Christmas, and are looking forward to an exciting New Year. Thank you so much for all the Christmas cards, gifts, and goodies. You truly are a blessing in our lives and we pray that as we move into the New Year opportunities will abound for us to also bless you. Martha and I count it a joy and privilege to serve in such a gracious, loving congregation. May the Lord richly bless each of you, as we move forward doing ministry in 2019.
May the Lord help each of us redeem the time, keeping our eyes and focus on Jesus, seeking to be the church that follows His will.
Time and again in scripture, we are reminded how important each of us are in the Body of Christ. It takes each of us using our spiritual gifts, talents, time, and resources to move the church forward. But working together, seeking to honor the Lord in all we do, we can continue to see lives changed, and the Kingdom of God expanding. We can see young believers growing in their faith, and all of us becoming more like Christ in our thoughts, words and actions. As we seek the Lord’s will, He will show us the way forward and bring joy into our lives.
Psalms 16:11 NIV “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasure at your right hand.”
May we renew our commitment “to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God and the Peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7NIV).
May we continue to be a people of prayer, knowing that God hears, and moves as His people pray. Let’s be sure to look for opportunities to give God the glory for all He does in our lives, and the life of His Church, during the coming year.
Happy New Year,
