MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST

There will be NO Men’s Breakfast in JULY, however  there WILL be one on August 3rd at 8:00am.

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE

Enjoy a Fourth  of July tradition in South Norfolk,  The event features a parade beginning at 10 am, and activities  in the park that includes  entertainment, food, games, paddleboat rides, children’s crafts and lots of family fun.  The event is presented by the South Norfolk Civic league and Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

HILL’S FOURTH OF JULY PICNIC

The FOURTH OF JULY PICNIC for the residents at Hill’s is Saturday,  July 6th from 10:00am until noon.  Southside will supply the hot dogs. We ask that you bring a  side dish/dessert to share and  come out and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship  with the residents.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The nominating Committee is meeting and they are asking members to serve in different positions of our Sunday School and Church. If you are asked to serve, please consider the position and give them a positive answer.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

“IN THE WILD”

Vacation Bible School begins July 28th – August 1st . The time is 6:30pm – 8:30pm each evening.  On Sunday, July 28th , registration  begins at 5:00pm and  at 5:30pm,  hot dogs, chips and a drink will be provided as well as fun and games.  Invite a friend to come with you.  The theme this year is “In the Wild.

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST PROJECT

Our Christmas in  August project is in August.  Many of you have been saving your coins throughout the year.  We have cans available if you would like to take one and start saving your coins/dollars now. All donations will be sent to the Hope Tree Family Services (formerly Children’s Home) in Salem, Virginia.
